Managing your subscription
Start a subscription, change your card, find receipts, move to a different plan, and cancel — and know who is allowed to do each.
Everything to do with money happens in Stripe's hosted pages. unpitch shows the summary and hands you over; it holds no card details and has no invoices of its own. The Billing tab says as much under its title: Your plan at a glance. Payment details, receipts, and cancellation are handled securely in Stripe.
Who can do this
Only the organisation owner. Every other member sees the plan and the balance read-only, with the note Only the organisation owner can change the plan or manage billing. and no Manage in Stripe, Cancel plan or enabled purchase button.
The one exception is Contact sales for Enterprise, which any member may use.
Starting a subscription
On the Billing tab, press View all plans.
Pick Monthly or Annually, then press Choose Lite, Choose Plus or Choose Pro. The button reads Starting… while the checkout session is created.
Pay in Stripe. You come back to the Billing tab with the toast Subscription started — it may take a moment to reflect here. If you back out instead, you get Checkout cancelled. and nothing changes.
That toast is not a formality: the plan can lag by a moment while the payment lands. Refreshing the page is the fix.
Changing your card, and finding receipts
Press Manage in Stripe on the Billing tab. It reads Opening… while the session is created, then opens Stripe's own customer portal, which is where payment methods, invoices and receipts live. If the session cannot be created you get Could not open the billing portal; if you have never checked out at all, No billing account yet — start a subscription first.
Moving to a different plan
There is no upgrade or downgrade button. While a subscription is open, every other card in the picker is disabled with the note To move to a different plan, cancel the current one first, then subscribe to the new one. Attempting the switch inside the Stripe portal is refused too.
So the route to a different plan is: cancel the current one, let it run to its end date, then subscribe to the new one.
Cancelling
Press Cancel plan, on either the Billing tab or the plan picker. Stripe's own cancellation flow opens and finishes the job there.
Afterwards the Billing tab shows Cancels and the end date in place of the renewal line, and the plan picker adds Cancels on with the same date. Your plan keeps working until that date, then the account resolves to Free.
Cancel plan disappears once cancellation is already scheduled. From that point the only control left is Manage in Stripe. A missing Cancel plan button usually means the cancellation already went through, so check for the Cancels line before trying again.
Reading the status pill
When a subscription exists, a pill sits next to the plan name. Active and Trial are the healthy ones, and both entitle the plan fully.
Past due, Unpaid, Paused and Incomplete all mean a payment problem. Past due still entitles your plan. The other three do not, so Current plan drops to Free while the pill stays visible and Manage in Stripe and Cancel plan remain available. That combination looks contradictory but is accurate: the subscription still exists and only Stripe can end it. Fixing the payment method in the portal is what clears it.
A muted Canceled pill means the subscription has ended and the plan has resolved to Free.
When plan changes are paused
Two notices stop the controls appearing, and neither is about your payment method.
We're sorting out a billing question on this account, so plan changes are paused for now. Everything you already have keeps working. On the plan picker, purchases are blocked withNew purchases are paused while we sort out a billing question on this account. Your current plan is not affected. The reason is an internal matter and is never shown on screen.Payment management is being set up. Before deleting an organisation
An organisation cannot be deleted while a subscription is active or a checkout is still open. Cancel first and let it fully end. Deleting afterwards forfeits any unused AI credits with no refund.
Billing belongs to the organisation currently active in the workspace switcher, not to the first one you joined. If you switch workspaces in another tab, this screen goes stale, and the next action is refused and the page refreshed rather than charged to the wrong organisation. Check the switcher before you buy or cancel.
Where to go next
Included work and credits
Tell before you press Run whether a Quality Check is included in your plan or costs credits, and know what a Simulation costs every time.
What the run statuses mean
Tell a queued run from a running one, a failed run from a result that will not load, and know how long to wait before you press anything again.
