Reading a persona
Check who a persona represents, understand its research profile, and review its completed reactions.
Use the persona detail panel before spending a Simulation run. It shows who the reader represents, what research supports a Researched persona, and how that persona reacted to earlier drafts.
Opening it
Choose a persona in the library to open its detail panel on the right. If no details are showing, choose a persona; there is no panel to open before one is selected.
Checking the reader
For a Standard persona, the header shows the role and target details. For a Researched persona, it shows role · scenario with a Researched badge. The description below explains the reader's responsibilities and how they tend to approach incoming messages.
Before starting a Simulation, check that the role and known context match the person you are writing to. For a Researched persona, check the scenario too. If they do not fit, choose or create a different persona. You can also look at how this persona handled a similar draft before spending another run.
Known context
Known context shows the company size, industry, markets, and exact circumstances selected when the persona was created. These details are the facts supplied for the reader. A generated scenario, situation, or piece of background copy is not treated as a known fact for a Standard persona.
When no target details or circumstances were selected, the panel says no specific business circumstance was provided and that current need and timing are unknown. An older persona may instead say The original circumstances were not retained for this persona. Current need and timing are unknown. That is a different history state with the same practical limit.
Segment profile
Researched personas can include a Segment profile across Current tools, Market, Attention, and Switching cost. Each axis can support more than one state, because the research may find different conditions within the same segment.
Use the information control to see how strongly the research supports each state and to read the conclusions behind an axis. Unknown is different from Ruled out: it means the build did not have enough information to make that call.
How they react
How they react appears after the persona has at least one completed Simulation. It collects saved reactions from the newest runs first. Choose a reaction to open the run and see it in context; choose More reactions to load more.
These reactions preserve the draft as it was when the persona read it. Editing the document later does not rewrite an earlier reaction.
If this section cannot load, use its retry control. The persona description and Segment profile can still be available while reactions are retried.
