Quality Check

Acting on the feedback

Turn a verdict into a better draft, hand the whole read to the AI assistant you already use, and check what you changed.

You have read the findings and you agree with some of them. Now something has to change in the text. This is the part of the loop unpitch leaves to you: the product tells you what it saw and what a fixed version would have to satisfy, and never rewrites your message itself.

Changing the draft yourself

Open a finding, read its Revision requirements, and edit the line until it satisfies them. There is no button that applies them. Typing closes the card, which is the intended way to work: read, close, rewrite, open the next one.

One thing can stop you mid-edit. While a Simulation is reading the draft, the text is locked and the Quality Check tab shows a notice ending Editing is paused until it finishes. Wait for that read to end and the draft becomes editable again.

Taking the feedback to another tool

If you would rather work on the whole message at once, the pinned footer under the panel has Copy with all feedback. It puts the checked message plus every finding on your clipboard, and the confirmation toast says where that is meant to go: Paste them into the AI assistant you use.

Nothing is sent anywhere when you press it. The button fills your clipboard and stops there, and no rewrite ever comes back into unpitch on its own.

Read the scope line above the button first. Original … means the copy matches what is on screen. The checked version of your … (not your current draft) means you have edited since the check ran and the copy carries the older text. Pasting an assistant's rewrite of that older text back over your draft would silently bury everything you have changed since.

Two more things about the copy:

  • If part of the read was lost, the scope line appends (N more could not be recorded), so you know the package is short of what the reader actually saw.
  • A clean verdict has no findings to carry, so its footer offers only Mark as ready.

If the copy does not work, the toast tells you whether retrying is worth it. and feedback were not copied. Please try again. is transient, so press it again. and feedback cannot be copied from this check. Run a new check to copy them. is permanent for that run, because the stored result is in an older format. A fresh check fixes it.

The Simulation tab has the same button with its own scope line: Tested message when the draft has not moved, Simulated version when it has.

Re-checking after you edit

As soon as you type, a Document changed strip pins itself under the verdict with Results are from the previous version. and a Re-run button, and every highlight in the draft dims. The findings still describe the version that was checked, so re-running is what re-anchors them to your new text.

Before you press it, three things worth knowing:

  • A re-run is a full new run. It spends an included check, then credits once your included checks are gone, and it freezes another version of the document.
  • Judgements do not carry over. Findings you marked Not a problem come back unmarked in the new run.
  • There is no score. A re-run answers "is this version clean" and not "is this version better than the last one".

Two other strips ask for a re-run for their own reasons. Only part of the draft was read comes with The reader stopped early. Running it again may reach further. — a second run may cover more of the draft. Part of the read was lost means findings were made but could not be recorded, so the panel you are looking at is incomplete.

Walking a change back

If an edit made things worse, the way back is the document's history rather than an editor undo. Open the earlier version, press Use as current, and it becomes the live draft. A Previous current saved toast confirms the draft you replaced was kept, and carries its own undo.

History is read-only in every other respect. A snapshot's saved Quality Check can be read and copied, but never re-run from there. Run and Re-run live on the current draft only.

Marking it ready

When you are finished, press Mark as ready beside the copy button. It confirms with a Marked ready toast and the button then reads Ready. Pressing it again removes the mark and confirms with Back to a working draft.
