Run a Quality Check
Check a draft for problems, see the price before you start, and understand which version the result describes.
A Quality Check reviews the wording in your draft without using a persona. It points out problems, calls out lines worth keeping, and shows which checks came back clear.
Open Quality Check
Open a document, then open Quality Check under Test before you send. The panel lists the factors that apply to this kind of document. A sequence includes a check for how its steps work together, while a post or article uses a different set.
Expand a factor if you want examples of what it looks for. You run all the listed factors together; there is no separate run for one factor.
Start the check
Write something in the draft, then look below Run before you press it. The price is shown there:
- Included in your plan means this run uses an included check.
- 2 credits means the organization's included allowance is currently used up.
When you press Run, unpitch saves the draft and checks that saved version. The run also adds a snapshot to the document's history, where its result remains attached.
You can keep writing while a Quality Check runs. New edits do not change the version already being checked; they make the result stale when it arrives.
While it runs
The panel says Queued if the job is waiting to start. Once it begins, findings appear as the reader reaches them. You can leave the document and return later; the run link in the address bar reconnects you to the same job.

If it does not start
The panel gives a specific reason when it refuses a run. Fix that reason before trying again. For example, add text to an empty draft, review a changed price, or open Billing if the organization needs credits.
Pay attention to this distinction:
- Couldn’t start the check with No job was created means the attempt did not create a run.
- Couldn’t confirm the check started means a run may already exist. Use Re-run on the same saved text so unpitch can look for it.
A check that reaches the explicit Quality Check didn’t finish state says that no result was saved and that the failed job was not charged. A separate Check complete loading error means the result was saved; View results only tries to load it again.
Version history
Look back through the frozen copies of a draft that unpitch saved for you, and bring an earlier wording back into the document you are editing.
Reading the verdict
Understand the Quality Check headline, move between findings and your draft, and notice when a result covers only part of the text.
