Simulation

After a Simulation

Take the reaction somewhere else, mark the draft ready, re-run after an edit, and look back at earlier runs.

You have read the reaction and you know what is wrong with the draft. The footer of the result is where you do something about it.

Copy the whole thing into an assistant

Copy with all feedback puts two things on the clipboard as one package: the exact message that was tested, and the complete reaction to it. It is written to be pasted straight into whatever AI assistant you rewrite with, so you do not have to summarise the findings yourself or paste them one at a time.

Above the button, a scope line tells you what is going onto the clipboard, starting with Tested message and adding the number of findings when there is one. A toast confirms the copy: Your message and all Simulation feedback copied. Paste them into the AI assistant you use. If it fails you get Simulation feedback was not copied. Please try again. instead, and nothing has changed.

Once you have edited the draft, the scope line changes to Simulated version and the copy carries the version that was actually read, not what is in your editor now. The toast says so too. Pasting a rewrite of that older text back over your current draft would quietly lose the edits you made in between.

Mark the draft ready

Mark as ready sits beside the copy button. Pressing it flips the control to Ready, and pressing it again unmarks the document. It is a state you set on the document, not something the reaction decides for you, so nothing stops you marking a draft ready over a reaction full of Must fix findings if you disagree with them.

Edit, then run it again

The result is frozen against the exact text that was read. The moment you change the draft, an amber banner pins over the result: Document changed, with Results are from the previous version. The findings underneath are still perfectly readable; they describe the older text.

The banner offers Re-run, which starts a new Simulation with the same reader for another 10 credits.

After a page reload, Re-run is replaced by Back to readers, because the app can no longer re-admit the reader the run was frozen against. Nothing is lost. Press it, pick the same reader from the chooser, and press Simulate as usual.

Trying a different reader

One run tests one reader, so a second opinion is a second run at 10 credits. Run another reader in the footer and Switch reader in the header do the same thing: they return you to the chooser. Neither starts anything by itself, and neither charges you until you press Simulate again.

Both also drop the ?run= link from the address bar, so reloading the page afterwards will not bring that run back on screen. If you want to keep a result to hand, copy it before you switch.

Looking back at earlier runs

The panel holds one run at a time. To read an earlier one, open the document's version history and pick a snapshot: the Simulation tab then shows the run that was made against that version.

A snapshot with a completed run shows a Simulated reader header naming the reader, then the same reaction body and line-by-line read you would see live, plus a copy footer labelled Simulated version. Every history state carries the line Read-only snapshot., and that is the whole rule for this panel: you can read a past run and copy it, but you cannot re-run it or mark anything ready from there.

Three other states are possible on a snapshot:

  • No Simulation for this version, with "No saved reader reaction is attached to this snapshot." The version was never simulated.
  • Simulation didn’t finish, with "No reader reaction was saved for this snapshot."
  • Simulation unavailable, with "Couldn’t load this snapshot’s Simulation right now." and a note to return to Current or try the snapshot again later. Nothing else is shown in its place, so you are never looking at another version's reaction by mistake.

A run that is still going when you open history keeps streaming in place, exactly as it does on the live document.
