When something will not start
Fix the draft, price, billing, plan, or persona issue that stopped a Quality Check, Persona Reaction, or persona build.
Start with the message on the card. A refusal usually names the fact that must change; an uncertain start needs a different recovery because a run may already exist.
Check the draft first
Add text if the document is blank. If it is too large to check or simulate, trim it and try again.
Persona Reaction accepts no more than five nonempty steps in a sequence. Shorten a longer sequence before pressing Simulate again. This run limit is separate from how many steps the document editor can store.
If the card says the document changed since you started, reload it and review the saved draft before starting another check.
Check the plan
Free includes Quality Check only. On Free, pressing Persona Reaction, Conversion Forecast, or a persona-creation button shows the plan prompt instead of starting anything. Lite is the lowest plan that includes Persona Reaction and persona creation. Results and personas you already have stay readable.
Review the price and credits
Quality Check shows whether the next run is included or costs 2 credits. Persona Reaction shows a fixed 40-credit price. Read the amount beside the action each time you run it.
If the price changed while the panel was open, review the new amount and press again only if you still want the run. If a short rate limit was reached, wait and retry later.
For an insufficient balance, open Billing or ask the organization owner. Credit top-ups are available for Pro and add credit capacity; they do not change the organization's plan. To choose a different plan, cancel the current subscription, wait until it ends, then subscribe to another.
When Billing is still updating, under review, or has an outstanding balance, follow the recovery shown there before retrying the paid action.
Check persona and research limits
Creating a persona has its own displayed price and limits. A plan change does not expand the 500-persona workspace safety limit or the 100-custom-role limit. A deleted persona still counts toward the 500-persona limit. At the persona ceiling, use a persona that is already saved; at the custom-role ceiling, build from a role that already exists.
Plus has one saved slot shared by Researched personas and custom-role personas. If that slot is full, use the persona already occupying it, delete that persona to free the slot, or move to Pro for more saved personas.
Research also depends on the daily allowance and there being no other research build already running in the workspace. The refusal tells you whether to wait or use a persona that is already available.

Distinguish a refusal from an uncertain start
If the app says it could not start the check or Simulation and No job was created, that attempt did not create a run. Fix the stated reason, then try again.
If the app could not confirm whether the check or Simulation started, the request was sent but its answer was lost. Do not assume nothing happened. Keep the saved draft and selected persona unchanged, then use the retry offered by the panel so unpitch can look for the existing run.
Changing the draft or persona can make the retry a different request. For Persona Reaction, that can mean a new 40-credit run.
