Workspaces
Understand what a workspace holds, how to change its name and icon, and what happens when you switch between more than one.
Documents, projects, personas, and Knowledge Base files belong to a workspace. Sign-up creates a Personal Workspace. Business research may rename it after your company, or you can rename it yourself.
What a workspace holds
A workspace is where work lives. Access comes from the organisation that owns it, so joining an organisation gives you access to all of its workspaces.
The app does not currently offer controls to create or delete workspaces. Your account starts with one personal workspace and may gain access to others through invitations.
Renaming your workspace and picking an icon
Select the workspace name at the top of the sidebar.
Choose Workspace settings.
Edit Name and, if you want, choose a different icon from the tile beside it.
Choose Save.
The Slug field is read-only. Only the name and icon can be changed.
Renaming by hand pins the name. Later business research will not overwrite it.
Changing the name or icon requires owner or admin access. These controls are disabled for members.
Switching between workspaces
When you can access several workspaces, the menu marks the active one and shows the organisation under each workspace name when needed.
Switching sends you to Home in the selected workspace.
Opening a link to a project in another workspace you can access switches to that workspace and opens the project. Check the workspace name if the sidebar contents change unexpectedly.
The Choose a workspace screen
If no workspace is active after sign-in, the app chooses the only available workspace automatically. With several, it shows Choose a workspace. With none, it shows No workspaces yet and offers Sign out so you can sign in again with the intended account.
When two tabs disagree
Two open tabs can disagree after one switches workspace. If the other tab refuses a change and says the workspace changed elsewhere, the screen refreshes without applying the action. Check the active workspace and repeat the change there.
