The Playground
Start a piece of outreach from the app home, either by pasting a draft you already have or by picking the type you want to write.
Everything you write in unpitch starts on the same screen. Sign in and you land on the Playground, headed What are you simulating? It gives you two ways in: a box to paste or describe something, and a set of tiles for the kind of writing you want to start. Below them sit the documents you were last working on.
The composer
The box under the heading reads Describe an idea — or paste a draft to test it, and under it a line reads Creates an editable message draft. That line is the literal truth about what the button does. Type or paste anything, press Open draft, and unpitch creates a Single Message whose body is exactly the text you entered, then opens it in the editor.
Open draft is greyed out until you have typed at least one non-space character, and it stays disabled while the draft is being created, so pressing it twice cannot leave you with two copies.
Nothing is written for you here. The composer does not draft, rewrite, or work out which type you meant. Whatever you put in the box becomes the body of a Single Message, verbatim. To start a sequence, a post, or an article, use a tile instead.
If the create fails you get an error toast with the reason and you stay on the Playground with your text still in the box, so you can press Open draft again.
Where you left off
Once the workspace holds at least one document, a row appears above the tiles headed Where you left off, showing up to three cards for the documents edited most recently. Each card carries the document's type, its title, and edited followed by a relative time such as "2 hours ago". Clicking a card opens it.
The link beside that label changes with what you have:
- 1 to 3 live documents. Cards only, and no link. There is no route to the full list from this screen until you pass three documents.
- More than 3. The three most recent cards plus View all, which opens the full document list.
- Everything archived. The label changes to Documents, no cards are drawn, and the link reads View archive (7) with your own archived count. That link is the only way back to archived documents from here.
- A brand new workspace. No row at all. Just the heading, the composer, and the tiles.
The document type tiles
Below the recents sit the types you can start, in two groups.
Cold outreach holds Single Message, Cold Email Sequence, LinkedIn DM, and LinkedIn DM Sequence. Broader holds LinkedIn Post and Article / Blog Post. Each tile shows the type name and a one line tagline. Picking one opens a blank editor for that type straight away.
Clicking a tile does not create a document. It opens an editor for something that does not exist yet, and the document is created by the first save that carries real text. Open ten tiles, type nothing, and you leave nothing behind. Nothing appears in the recents row, and nothing is charged.
While you are on that blank canvas the address stays /app/documents/new. It swaps to the document's own address on its own, once your focus leaves the writing area. Switching to another window does not count as leaving, so the page will not change under you mid sentence.
What starting a document costs
Nothing. Creating, writing, renaming, and naming documents consume no credits at all. Cost only enters when you run a check or a simulation on the document's own page.
